Jacob has recently appeared
on TV performing his diabolo routine!

Special features at this friendly farm include unicycling, fire sculpture, rope swings and large vegetable, herb and flower gardens. The event always sells out - about 40 people, including families and non-residential participants attend. Always plenty of great food and a party atmosphere.

From the Lower Shaw programme:

A long weekend of skill and fun! Sessions in juggling, passing, club swinging, pole spinning, acrobalance, human pyramids, diabolo, devil stick, ring and plate spinning, unicycling, balloon modelling and yoga.

After dusk we shall explore the magic of black light in a flourescent room with props that glow-in-the-dark. Take part in, or just watch a large scale fire extravaganza with the ceremonial lighting of fire sculptures. There will be a final-night cabaret, Cosmos Black Light Show and 'warehouse' party!

This long-weekend is led by Jim and Anna Semlyen who are the Cosmos Jugglers, teaching and performing internationally - specialising in black light and fire.

Anna has written a book on Club Swinging and Pole Spinning.

About Lower Shaw Farm

Once a dairy farm, Lower Shaw Farm now has another life. A three-acre oasis in an area of 1980s development, its outbuildings have been converted to dormitories, meeting rooms, and workshops, and it is now run as a flourishing residential and learning holiday centre.

With its large vegetable, herb and flower gardens, its permaculture design, its ponds, poultry, and unspoilt play areas both for children and adults, the farm has character and atmosphere. Not far away is open countryside, walks, and the Neolithic stones of Avebury. The farm is readily accessible by road and rail, and is surrounded by cycle paths.

See more information about Avebury, Stonehenge and Wiltshire on Wiltshire Web.
